Everyone is talking about the ’10 minutes for Africa’ initiative
16 November 2021
Have you thought about it? Just dedicating 10 minutes of your day, week, or month writing, painting, or looking for a positive story about Africa or promoting anything that promotes our communities anywhere makes a big difference. Not only will that change your life, but the cumulative results will be more than you can ever imagine. This is a talk from experience. We will no longer ask others to stop treating us right or stop showing negative images, we will be telling our story by building each other up in South America, the Caribbeans, the US, Europe, Asia, Africa and everywhere we are scattered. Instead of talking about change, we will make change happen through science, technology and all other ways.
This is the hilltoppost.eu calling.
You are certainly super busy, but when you get the chance to browse the journal website, we would gladly welcome your comments and hopefully a short piece about any topic of your choice. We hope your presence on our platform will help bring more scholars/activists/change makers on board. You don’t have to be an expert or a person with a special title, you just have to be an afro-descendant or an ally who wants to see a shining Mama Africa.
10 minutes for Mama Africa!
This week we are collecting (max) 100 words of your vision for global/greater Africa (Africa and her diaspora in the Americas, Europe, wherever we are…). Your answers will be published on the Hilltop Post site.
Given the chance, what would you change and what image of Africa would you like to see by the end of this third decade of the 21st century (2021-2030)?
Your post may start as follows:
- By 2030, I would like to see an Africa that…
- The three things that are fundamental for achieving this goal are:…
- My own contribution would be…
You can add a passport size photo of yourself if you wish. You can also opt to stay anonymous.
We welcome your responses (in any language) by the 31st of December 2021. Please, send them to submissions@hilltoppost.eu.
